Legal advice and advocacy

Anthony Vines gives legal advice for ongoing business issues as well as situations where litigation is afoot.  He advises and represents clients in cases heard in tribunals and in the civil and criminal courts.  He is qualified as a public access barrister and can be instructed directly by businesses and members of the public.

Living on the border of England and Wales, his local courts are in the South-West (Bristol), the West Midlands (Birmingham and surrounds, Gloucester, Worcester and Hereford), and in Wales (Cardiff, Swansea and Newport).  His practice however does take further afield all over Wales and England as required.

Anthony practises from chambers in Cardiff (Civitas Law) where there are excellent facilities.  He is happy to have meetings at client offices or other convenient locations.  Much of his business is done over the phone and by email.

Called to the Bar in 1993 and initially in chambers in London, Anthony has kept a broad practice covering civil, criminal and regulatory work although his principal areas of practice are: business disputes, food law and regulatory law.

Having been appointed to the Welsh Government’s panel of junior counsel and through his work and seminars, Anthony has experience in the developing areas of Welsh law.

Mediation

Anthony has been a mediator since 1995 and is happy to assist parties resolving their disputes.  He is regulated by the Civil Mediation Council.  See here for more.
